What people want from an electrician's website
Nobody browses electricians for fun. They've got a tripping fuse, a letting agent asking for an EICR, or a new car that needs a charger. They land on your site, decide in seconds whether you're the real deal, and ring. So an electrician's site has one job: get them to call you and not the next one down.
That means:
- Your number at the top of every page, and a button that rings it on a phone.
- The jobs you actually do, in plain words. Rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EV charger installs, EICR testing, lighting. Not "comprehensive electrical solutions".
- Where you work. The towns you cover, so someone in the next village knows you'll come.
- Proof you're legit. Your registration, your insurance, photos of tidy work.
- A quick way to ask for a quote when they can't talk, like an enquiry form or WhatsApp.
What's in your electrician site
The factory already knows electricians. Pick "Electrician" and it fills in the usual services (rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EV charger installs, EICR testing, lighting and downlights), which you can change in one go.
- The Tin: one page with your services, your area, and a big call button.
- The Proper Tin: Home, Services, About, a work gallery and Contact. Landlords can see you do EICRs, homeowners can see your consumer unit swaps.
- The Big Tin: adds a page for each service, an Areas page for the towns you cover, and an FAQs page. A page each for "EV charger installation" and "EICR testing" gives Google something specific to match when people search for those jobs locally.
Worth adding, if it's true for you
We don't invent badges or numbers. Add the ones you've got:
- Your Competent Person Scheme, such as NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA, with your registration number so people can check it.
- Part P: that you can self-certify notifiable work and sort the Building Regs certificate.
- Landlord work: that you do EICRs and the paperwork that goes with them.
- EV chargers: any manufacturer approvals you hold.
- Public liability insurance and the level of cover.
- Real photos of boards, lighting and tidy finishes. Your own, not stock.
- Genuine reviews. Got real ones on Google or Checkatrade? Send them over and we'll add them on request. We never write or invent reviews.
What your customers search for
People type the job, not the profession: "EICR near me", "consumer unit replacement Leeds", "emergency electrician". A page per service plus the towns you cover gives Google more chances to match you. Nobody honest can promise page one, and we won't. What we can do is build it so Google can read it, and set up your Business Profile.

FAQs
Can I show my NICEIC or NAPIT number?
Yep. Add your scheme and number when you build it, or later through your magic link. We never add badges you haven't told us about.
I mostly do landlord and EICR work. Will it suit that?
Yes. Put EICRs first in your services list and the site leads with them. On The Big Tin, EICR testing gets its own page.
Can I list the towns I cover?
Yes. On every tin you say where you work. The Big Tin adds an Areas page for the towns you cover.
Can I use a domain I already own?
No. A new domain costing under £20 is included and registered in your name. The factory suggests one based on your business name.
Do I need to write anything?
No. The factory writes it from your profession and services. Change anything you like before you pay, and the preview's free.
What happens if I cancel?
The monthly fee stops, the site comes down, and you get your files and your domain.
